Gattuso Special Request to Milan for Bonucci
By news-admin
DBasia.news – AC Milan coach, Gennaro Gattuso, admits he doesn’t know the future of Leonardo Bonucci. Gattuso hopes the former Inter Milan player would cancel his plan to leave San Siro.
Previously, Leonardo Bonucci is rumored to leave AC Milan. The former Italy national team believed will continue his career in Paris Saint-Germain.
This is a bad news for Gattuso. However, Il Diavolo Rosso still needs Bonucci’s power in the defensive line.
To prevent the leave, Gattuso asks his players to persuade Bonucci to stay. However, on the other hand, Gattuso gives the decision to the club.
“We’ve got to be honest and I have spoken with him — Leo has had a meeting with me, but I am not the club. He needs to speak with the directors, but while he still wears a Milan shirt, I want to see the Bonucci I’ve seen over the first 11 days here,” Gattuso said reported by Soccerway.
“He’s a great professional and always the first to lead the group. I hope he will remain.”
“He’s a valuable player and has a great mentality. When a player expresses a desire (to leave) then the coach and those who work within a group must do all they can to succeed in convincing him to stay,” Gattuso uttered.
The AC Milan management’s polemic is one of the reasons why Leonardo Bonucci wants to move. Meanwhile, AC Milan has got three new players, Ivan Strinic, Pepe Reina, and Alen Halilovic.
