DBasia.news – AC Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso wants to have the postponed match against Genoa this week. While the other Serie A matches were conducted on the previous weekend.

The Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC) decided to postpone the match between AC Milan Vs Genoa at San Siro and also Sampdoria Vs Fiorentina at Luigi Ferraris Stadium after the bridge collapse tragedy in Genoa.

“The President of the Lega Serie A, given the requests for postponement of their matches scheduled for Sunday, August 19 at 20.30 on the part of the clubs Sampdoria and Genoa as result of the tragedy which hit Genoa, and having received the assent of both Fiorentina and Milan,” said the Serie A president, Gaetano Micciche.

The competition operator rescheduled the two matches. As planned, the match between AC Milan against Genoa will be conducted on October 31, 2018.

The decision was related to AC Milan’s journey in the Europa League. The Serie A operator has to find the right schedule suitable to AC Milan’s performance in Europe.

However, according to Corriere Della Sera, Gennaro Gattuso disagree with the schedule from the operator league. The Italian coach wants to have the match versus Genoa this week, by Tuesday or Wednesday.

In the other regular matches, some surprises happened. Sassuolo surprisingly defeated Inter Milan 1-0. While Napoli stole the full point from Lazio home. Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo debut ended sweetly after Juventus defeated Chievo 3-2.
