Genoa Appointed Prandelli As the New Coach

DBasia.news – Genoa finally signed a new coach after ending the contract with Ivan Juric. Genoa chose Cesare Prandelli to be their new coach.

Juric just stayed in Genoa for less than two months. He was signed from Genoa on October 2018 replacing Davide Bellardini.

During his time in Genoa’s third period, the Croatian coach just led Krzysztof Piatek and friends 8 times. During that matches, Genoa never won. The Grifone defeated 5 times and 3 draws.

The bad result forced Genoa management sacked Juric and replaced him with Prandelli. Prandelli is no stranger for Italian football. He led the top Serie A clubs like Fiorentina, Parma, and AS Roma. During his period coaching Roma, he never led Francesco Totti and friends due to the resignation.

Prandelli also coached Italy national team in 2010 and 2014. Once went to Spain to coach Valencia and the Middle East to lead the United Arab Emirates club Al Nasr, he decided to return to Italy.

“I’m fired up and I can’t wait to get started,” Prandelli revealed.
