Thiago Motta Debuts Resulted in Genoa’s Victory

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Genoa won the victory over Brescia in the continuation of Serie A. This marks the sweet debut of Thiago Motta as Genoa coach.

In the match against Brescia, Genoa had left behind 0-1 in the first round. In the 34th minute, goalkeeper Andrei Radu was uprooted by a spectacular Sandro Tonali free-kick. The new host was able to turn things around in the second half by cramming three goals.

The unique record that graced Thiago Motta’s debut relating to these three goals. Because the three goals from Genoa produced three substitutes. In the history of Italian football, this is the first time three substitutes have scored in a match.

Regarding that matter, Thiago Motta did not pat his chest. “I have a big squad with quality players. The thing that impressed me this week was the desire to work and fight together for Genoa. Those who enter as a substitute do a good job,” he explained as quoted by Tuttomercatoweb.

Regarding the instructions given at halftime, the former Italian national team player said, “I only said a few things because I saw the players have a great determination to play well. It was seen from their faces.”

Thiago Motta thinks Genoa is on the right track. He hopes the players continue to show the same thing in the coming weeks. Especially facing Juventus in the next fight.
