By db-admin
DBasia.news – The KAA Gent vs AS Roma match in the second leg top 32 round of the Europa League on Friday (2/28/2020) AM, was apparently filled with interesting fact. In the stadium stands, there were representatives of no less than 27 clubs and federations that specifically monitor Jonathan David’s actions.
In that match, KAA Gent only drew 1-1 and had to be eliminated as they lost 0-1 when they visited Rome. However, Jonathan David performed neatly. He scored a goal that put De Buffalo’s ahead in the 24th minute. In total, six shots were fired by the Canadian player.
As reported by Voetbalkrant, the KAA Gent camp accepted talent scouts from many clubs. The amount is no less than 27 people. Among them came from European terrace clubs. There are talent scouts from Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Borussia Dortmund.
In addition, several talent scouts from smaller clubs were also present. Among them are talent scouts from Leicester City, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton, West Ham United, Eintracht Frankfurt, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Bayer Leverkusen, FC Schalke 04, Werder Bremen, PSV Eindhoven, Lille OSC, Stade Rennes, OGC Nice, Racing Lens, Stade Reims and Sevilla.
In addition to these clubs, there are several other clubs who have also shown interest even though they did not send their talent scouts during the match against AS Roma. Namely Arsenal and Bayern Munich. Also Olympique Lyon, who had even proposed an official offer.
The interest of so many clubs is not without reason. David showed his class as an accomplished striker. Together with Gent, he has scored 23 goals and 10 assists in 38 matches in various events this season. In Jupiler Pro League, he leads the list of players with 18 goals. He is three goals ahead of senior player, Dieumerci Mbokani.
Jonathan David is planning to leave. However, his agent, Nick Mavromaras, revealed that his client was not going to take too big a step next summer.
