Gerard Deulofeu Won’t Return to Barcelona

DBasia.news – Gerard Deulofeu apparently has a bad experience with Barcelona. The La Masia academy alumni has been supporting Barcelona main squad two times from 2011 to 2015.
In that period, Deulofeu was on-loan to Everton and Sevilla. In that two chances, Deulofeu always failed to play regularly with Barca.
Eventually, Deulofeu moved to Watford until now. “That was difficult – when I was young it was terrible, every day in the media you are the new Messi and that’s not good for a young player,” Deulofeu said.
“I’m a former Barcelona player but maybe my style is more similar style to that of a Real Madrid or Manchester City player. I didn’t take the chance of staying at Barcelona because playing there is so difficult and sometimes I didn’t have the chance or the confidence of Barcelona.”
“Now it’s one year since I left Barcelona so it’s normal I don’t want to be there. My best football is in the Premier League and Watford put a lot of confidence in me.”
“I’d been at Barcelona since I was nine years old but sometimes you don’t feel it’s home. That’s why I don’t want to go back,” Deulofeu concluded.
