DBasia.news – Germany national team coach Joachim Low emphasized that there won’t be any chance for Mesut Ozil to return to the squad after announcing his retirement from the international match on July.

The Arsenal playmaker accused some Deutscher Fußball-Bund e.V’s high-officials doing racism act toward him, Low claimed that he wasn’t asked any opinion before he decided to retire.

Germany played against France in the first match of UEFA Nations League this weekend in terms of reviving the confidence after the failure in the 2018 World Cup.

“I think everything has been said about this. When a player announces his resignation like that, you don’t pick him for the squad eight or nine weeks later,” said Low.

“He’s said he’s going to step down. Are there any questions open? He’s said he doesn’t want to play, he told us his thoughts, I don’t know why we should we keep talking about it.”

“He was part of the team for a long time but not anymore. For this team it’s over and he’s not part of our thoughts anymore.”

“Mesut and I enjoyed a lot of success together over the years. I have tried several times to reach him on the phone, without any luck, and I will continue to try and make contact with him in the future.”
