Getting Little Playing Minutes This Season, Giroud is Recommended to Leave from Chelsea

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  France national team coach Didier Deschamps believes that to be able to get regular playing minutes, Olivier Giroud must leave Chelsea immediately. This was conveyed after knowing Giroud’s flying hours in this season is very minimal.

This season, Giroud is not Chelsea’s top choice. The 33-year-old is only the third choice striker behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi. This made him only collect two appearances in the Premier League this season.

“Olivier Giroud suffered greatly from being trapped in a less than ideal situation. Before January, unfortunately, nothing will change. After January, I hope he will get regular playing minutes,” Didier Deschamps was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

Giroud himself was hot because it was increasingly difficult to get the chance to appear at Chelsea. He also claimed to have been ready to lift a suitcase from Stamford Bridge in the transfer market next winter if he did not also get a chance to appear.

“Do I want to leave Chelsea? Not necessarily. But if I have to make a choice … I have some wonderful years ahead of me. I am 33 years old, I still have good legs and a healthy lifestyle and I feel physically good,” he said.

Although not getting a place at Chelsea, Giroud remains a mainstay of the French national team. He also managed to pay Deschamps confidence by achieving two goals in the 2020 European Cup Qualifiers party this week.
