Giada Greggi Called by the Italian national team

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  AS Roma player, Giada Greggi, called to strengthen the Italian national team. She was one of four Roma players who were called up to the national team.

Greggi, now 20, joins team-mates Elisa Bartoli, Manuela Giugliano, and Annamaria Serturini in the Azzurre squad for upcoming matches against Malta and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Meanwhile, midfielder Agnese Bonfantini was not called up – this time she was included in the U-23 squad.

Italy will face Malta on October 4 at Ta’Qali, before heading to Palermo to host Bosnia-Herzegovina on October 8.

Roma women’s team coach Betty Bavagnoli announced Greggi’s summons in front of his teammate.

“You must not forget what I always say: that we are a team that pursues similar goals,” Bavagnoli said.

“And every time we work towards that target, it’s only natural that a player starts receiving individual recognition. For that reason, I am happy to congratulate Giada Greggi, who has been called up by the Italian national team for the first time.”

Only last week Greggi acknowledged that the first senior international call was a big ambition for him – after representing his country at U-15, U-17 and U-19 levels.

“My goal is to continue to develop, both technically and tactically and give everything to help the team qualify for the Champions League,” she told Roma TV.

“Personally, I want to get a national team call – because representing the country is a great honor.”
