DBasia.news – AS Monaco has announced the arrival of CSKA Moscow key player, Aleksandr Golovin. The Russian midfielder was signing the five-year-contract. This news made Juventus interested in him could do nothing.
Previously, Golovin was the target of Juventus. La Vecchia Signora were aiming him before the 2018 World Cup.
Juventus’ interest was getting bigger after Golovin performed well during the 2018 World Cup. The 22-year-old player scored a goal and two assists for Russian national team.
But, Juventus’ step to get Golovin was passed by AS Monaco in the last step. By 30 million euro offer, CSKA Moscow agreed to let go of him.
We are very happy with the arrival of Aleksandr Golovin at AS Monaco. He is a talented young player, very prominent during the World Cup, but we have been following him for a long time,” vice-president Vadim Vasilyev said in club official site.
“He already has solid experience in Russian first division and internationally. Despite the competition of very large European clubs, Aleksandr has chosen the sporting project of AS Monaco, which will offer him the best conditions to continue his progress.”
Meanwhile, Golovin admitted he is excited to join Monaco. The player assumes Monaco will give him a bright future.
“I am very happy to sign for AS Monaco. This is a new adventure for me that I approach with a lot of ambitions. I am now very much looking forward to meeting the staff and my new teammates and to get going,” Golovin said.
