Gonzalo Higuain Was Forced to Leave by Juventus

Higuain’s transfer to Milan was considered as a ‘good gesture’ from Juventus to balance the rivalry in the Serie A. Higuain, in his 30, is considered as one of Europe’s top strikers.

Not only owning the top quality as a striker, but Higuain is also experienced from his period in Real Madrid, Napoli, and Juventus. Higuain came to Milan with Mattia Caldara who became the part of Leonardo Bonucci’s transfer.

Higuain has left Juve that he has been supporting since 2016. He admits that he was forced to leave by Bianconeri as the arrival of Ronaldo from Madrid. Ronaldo was set as the main striker of Juve with Mario Mandzukic under Massimiliano Allegri’s leadership.

“That day, I had the feeling inside may that maybe something had broken down. And then they signed Ronaldo. The decision to leave was not mine. I gave everything for Juventus, I won several titles,” Higuain said reported by Football-Italia.

“After which Cristiano arrived. The club wanted to make a leap in quality and they told me that I could not stay and that they were trying to find a solution. The best solution was Milan,” he continued.
