Graeme Souness Wants Liverpool to Immediately Secure Timo Werner

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Liverpool are asked to immediately recruit RB Leipzig striker. Timo Werner. That was said by a former team player, Graeme Souness.

Timo Werner several times has given the code of wanting to join Liverpool. The German player claimed to be interested in being trained by Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool are reportedly ready to welcome Timo Werner with open arms. However, lately the Reds have re-calculated the transfer due to several causes.

One of the most dominant is that Liverpool refuses to spend a lot of money to bring in Werner. Understandably, the Reds are facing a difficult situation due to the corona virus pandemic which has made income drop sharply.

Nevertheless, Liverpool was asked not to resign. Although, in the end Timo Werner was unable to immediately shift the role of the core attackers namely Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino.

“I think Liverpool will pursue Timo Werner. When we become the dominant team, we have to spend money and bring in new players,” Graeme Souness said as reported by Sky Sports.

“Liverpool are recruiting players like Andrew Robertson and Fabingo who have not directly entered the first team,” Graeme Souness explained regarding Timo Werner’s chances of becoming a Liverpool core player.

Graeme Souness believes Liverpool needs to follow in the footsteps of Manchester United in the Sir Alex Ferguson era. At that time, the Red Devils had competition in a team that had a good impact.

“Players who come don’t have to be stars in the first season. Manchester United did it for the 20 years. You don’t want to purchase players and put pressure on them,” explained Souness.

“Now, Liverpool must invest. This is also to give the players motivation. The more competition between players the better.”

Timo Werner is a rising attacker. The 24-year-old player is considered to have a deadly final settlement. In this season alone, Werner has scored 27 goals.
