DBasia.news – An interesting idea was uttered by Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka. According to him, UEFA should review the rations of European teams in the Champions League and give six rations to English clubs.
The Premier League dominates European football in 2018-2019. Four English clubs qualify for the final between European clubs, the Champions League and the Europa League.
This is the first time a country has done this. Previously, LaLiga and Serie A has only sent three representatives to the final of European club competition.
There are three Spanish clubs in 2013-2014 and 2015-2016. In addition, three Italian clubs did it in 1988-1989, 1989-1990, 1994-1995, and 1997-1998.
“The four teams in the final show what the Premier League looks like. Arsenal hope we are ready to appear in the final. We know how stromg Chelsea is as we often face them,” said Granit Xhaka.
“In my opinion, the top six teams in the Premier League must play in the Champions League, to show the strength of this competition. Now there are only four teams.”
“Amazingly, there are four representatives of the Premier League in the final, and we can feel proud. Teams that can qualify for the finals means they have strength,” he continued.
Arsenal must win in the Europa League to qualify for the Champions League 201-2020. That’s because their chances of getting tickets from the Premier League are quite small.
