Guardiola and Solksjaer Curse Fans’ Action in the Manchester Derby

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  The commotion occurred after the Man City vs Man United match, Thursday (1/30) Western Indonesian Time.  This made Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and Pep Guardiola condemn the inappropriate behavior of the two fans of the club.

Man United won 1-0 in the League Cup semi-final second leg against Man City on Thursday (30/01) early morning Western Indonesian Time, through a single goal Nemanja Matic.  The goal was not enough to pass United to the final because they lost 2-3 on aggregate from City, who won 3-1 at Old Trafford.

When the match took place, fans in the Man City fan stand acted by making airplane gestures related to the 1958 plane crash in Munich that killed 23 people, including eight United players.

After the match ended, Man United fans were provoked and threw a bench at the stands of Man City supporters.  “I don’t know what’s going on, but it’s not good,” Pep Guardiola said.

Man City will review the incident using CCTV to see the perpetrators of the bad attitude.  The uproar between supporters also occurred after the away fans were reduced by nearly 50 percent because of previous problems at the Manchester Derby.

Solskjaer agrees with Guardiola.  It is legitimate to have a rivalry, however, according to him, the rivalry is naturally done in certain limits.

“I have to be behind Pep (to support him). Football should be a game that is enjoyed by all people, spectators and those who play,” added Solskjaer.

“We want rivalry but keep it at the same level. Let’s make sure we eliminate it now,” he concluded.

Before the riot between supporters, unscrupulous Man United fans also acted by attacking the home of Ed Woodward, CEO of Man United.  Allegedly they were disappointed with the lackluster transfer of Man United in recent years.

The supporter attack was also criticized by many parties such as Mino Raiola, European super agents, soccer figures, to Guardiola and Solskjaer.
