Haruna Soemitro: Supporters Don’t Make Trouble

DBasia.news – Madura United manager, Haruna Soemitro, asked the match between Persib Bandung Vs Persija Jakarta would be the last match with the victim. He warns the supporters to not causing any trouble, considering the consequences.

This is a response to the incident in the match between Persib Bandung vs Persija Jakarta. The attack from Persib Bandung supporters made Persija Jakarta, Haringga Sirla, died.

“One thing for sure. What could fear the supporters the most? To not be able to watch their team in the home, that’s it. They are meaningless and won’t be the supporter if not watching the home match,” said Haruna Soemitro, Tuesday (2/10).

“Don’t make any trouble, it will kill yourself,” he added.

Regarding the punishment, he let PSSI Disciplinary Committee decide. “The sanction is referring to the disciplinary code and statute. It has to be conducted. If the sanction is applied, it will be hard to violate it,” he said.

His statement is confirmed by the decision from PSSI Disciplinary Committee released on Tuesday (2/10). Due to the attack, Persib got heavy sanction.

It’s also affected by the intimidation for Persija official during the MCM. Persib organizing committee is considered failed in ensuring the safety and comfort.

PSSI Disciplinary Committee sanctioned Persib to conduct the match outside Java or Kalimantan with no spectator until the competition ends. Next season, the sanction is still applicable, but under one condition, Persib could conduct the match in Bandung without spectator.

“The organizing committee and security officer of Persib are banned from involving for two years,” said the statement in PSSI’s official website.

“They also got the 100 million rupiahs fine. The organizing committee must fight against the racial and provocative words in the banner, poster, jersey, and other attributes.”

“For the suspects of Haringga Sirla’s attack, the Disciplinary Committee decided the ban to watch football in Indonesia throughout their lives.
