Inter Milan are just a step away from signing Gabriel Jesus in late 2016. At that time, Nerazzurri did some meetings with Palmeiras, Jesus owner. Moreover, they would sign him.

However, Inter could do nothing after failing to sign him. In the last move, Manchester City entered the negotiation process by offering £32M.

Eventually, Jesus joined Manchester City in January 2017. The Brasilian player faced difficulty during his debut due to the injury. But, he performed impressively after revived from the injury.

“We’ve been negotiating to sign him for a week. Our offer was bigger than Man City’s and Palmeiras wanted to sell him to us,” Ausilio said cited by Calciomercato.

He continued, “The player, however, said that he wanted to play under Guardiola.”

Now, Gabriel Jesus is one of Pep Guardiola’s weapons in Manchester City front line. The Spaniard coach often places Jesus with Sergio Aguero. This season, Jesus scored 14 goals and two assists in 27 caps.
