Inter Milan does not Rely on Romelu Lukaku

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Romelu Lukaku has made a major contribution to the pace of Inter Milan this season. However, it is a big mistake to consider that the Nerazzurri are too dependent on Lukaku.

Inter Milan did not play Romelu Lukaku when facing Torino in the 2019-2020 Serie A match, at the San Siro Stadium, Monday (7/13) local time. Nevertheless, Inter became victors.

Inter Milan conceded first in the 17th minute. Andrea Belotti scored after exploiting Samir Handanovic’s error in catching the ball.

La Beneamata stepped on the pedal in the second half. In the 49th minute, Ashley Young panned a goal through a volley kick. Lautaro Martinez played as a feeder.

Three minutes later, Inter turned ahead. Diego Godin’s header tore through Torino’s goal net.

Inter Milan’s third goal was created in the 61st minute. Lautaro Martinez’s shot which had hit the Torino player outwitted Torino keeper, Salvatore Sirigu.

Interestingly, based on Opta Paolo’s record, Diego Godin’s goal has made Inter Milan have 18 different players who have scored in Serie A this season. The record is the same as the most owned by Nerazzurri inscribed in one season (2007-2008).

That fact proves that Inter Milan does not depend on Romelu Lukaku in scoring goals. In fact, the Belgian national team striker has packed 20 goals in Serie A.

The victory boosted Inter Milan’s position to the second ladder of the standings. Il Biscione is eight points adrift of first place, Juventus.
