The result has made Inter Milan crawl to the top of the standings. As in other matches, Juventus were only able to play 2-2 when hosting Sassuolo. Now, Inter are one point ahead of the Bianconeri.
“We worked from day one to make changes and disturb other teams. Returning to the top of the standings after 14 weeks has made us proud. As we know the journey that must be passed to get here,” explained Conte as reported by Sky Sport Italia.
However, Conte does not want to be conceited. According to him, Inter still made a few mistakes in the duel against SPAL.
“At the same time, this should provide an injection of positive enthusiasm. This will encourage us to be better and control the match without having to suffer like today,” continued the coach.
“We are excited as we know that Juventus are losing points. So, we are preparing ourselves well,” Conte said.
“We deserve to beat SPAL. One thing to remember, we are focusing on the process of growth that is going rapipdly. We will not compare ourselves with other teams.”
In the next two
matches, Inter Milan will still play as host. The two guests who will arrive
are AS Roma and Barcelona. Especially when against Barca, victory will make La
Beneamata advance to the Champions League knockout round.
