Italy Legend Praised Federico Chiesa

DBasia.news – Italy football legend Paolo Rossi praised Fiorentina winger, Federico Chiesa and mentioned him as the future of Gli Azzurri.

However, Rossi mentioned Chiesa performance during the match of Italy in the UEFA Nations League between Poland against Portugal was far from his talent.

“His performance against Portugal wasn’t entirely satisfactory, in fact, I can say that by his standards it was pretty poor,” Rossi said.

He assumed during the match against Portugal the 21-year-old player couldn’t repeat the previous performance against Poland.

“He was unable to repeat the brilliant contribution he made to the game against Poland. It’s also fair to say he wasn’t used in his best position and frankly it wasn’t clear whether he was meant to defend or attack,” he said.

Rossi mentioned Chiesa ended the match against Portugal with exhaustion, despite not giving any substantial contribution.

“He is one of the best Italian talents in circulation and the future belongs to him. Perhaps last night was one of his first real games on an international level, so he still needs to gain experience and can only improve,” he said.

“However, after that performance, I feel it’s right to say he needs to be re-evaluated,” Rossi added.

With Italy, Chiesa just got a 1-1 score against Poland in the first match of A Division Group 3 UEFA Nations League before defeated by Portugal in the next match.
