Ivan Rakitic Frustrated rarely plays in Barcelona
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic is starting to get frustrated because he rarely plays in Barcelona.
In the transfer market last summer, Rakitic was rumored to be leaving the Camp Nou. The presence of a young midfielder, Frenkie de Jong is suspected to be the main cause of Rakitic wanting to get out of Barcelona.
“I want to play and don’t want to just be part of the Barcelona team. I will do my best to get out of this problem as soon as possible,” Ivan Rakitic was quoted as saying on the Diario Sport page.
“I still have two years left on my contract with Barcelona. Also, I think that there is no better place for a career than here. But, I want to play and don’t want to spend time walking around,” continued Rakitic added.
To smooth out his mission, Rakitic claimed to have spoken with several Barcelona officials. He also hopes the results of these talks can change his fate with Azulgrana at least until the end of the 2019-20 season.
“I have talked with several club officials. I want them to think I’m ready to compete and show my best when given the opportunity. But, if nothing has changed, then we will have to talk again and start discussing my future,” said Rakitic.
