Jadon Sancho Discusses the Issue of Racism in Europe

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Romelu Lukaku became a racial victim when Inter Milan won 2-1 against Cagliari in the Serie A match on Monday (2/9) early morning Western Indonesian Time. Lukaku is not the only one, before there was Moise Kean.

Support was given to Lukaku from supporters of various clubs to several players who voiced their concerns about the incident, which continued after other players such as Tammy Abraham, Paul Pogba, and Kurt Zouma experienced the same thing on social media. Serie A has also announced plans to tackle this incident in a program that will begin on October 2019.

Borussia Dortmund star, Jadon Sancho, expressed his concern regarding this incident. The Englishman feels that events like this can make soccer players lose their enthusiasm for the game because making players not feel confident in the long run can make them lose their love for football.

“I think things like this should be stopped. No player wants to appear on the field and get this kind of harassment. This situation can make their self-confidence decrease and the love for this sport will also follow if there is no further action. Sometimes some supporters have extraordinary enthusiasm and want to say their opinions. This does not only happen on social media,” Jadon Sancho said in a statement quoted from Goal. Sancho stressed that soccer players can see clearly what is happening on the field or social media and not close their eyes to things like this. The former Manchester City player also praised Lukaku’s actions to continue the match on the field.
