Japhet Tangana Praised Jose Mourinho
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Jose Mourinho is one of Europe’s top coaches who has coached top European clubs from Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United. But one thing has not changed from him: a controversial figure.
Mourinho is considered as one of the managers who find it difficult to give confidence to young players, especially those from the club academy. This assumption has often been one of the main criticisms for Mourinho throughout his career, with the view that he prefers star players or players who are ready to perform consistently at the senior level.
This assumption is refuted by Tottenham’s player, Japhet Tanganga. The player who plays as a right back entered the Spurs senior squad in the middle of the 2019/20 season, and felt that Mourinho gave a positive impetus to the academy players so they could get a chance to play in the senior squad.
“I believe that when Jose Mourinho was at Real Madrid the opportunity was given, as was the case for Raphael Varane who was young when he entered the team. The same thing happened at Manchester United with Scott McTominay. Mourinho has the same views as other managers, they want to provide opportunities for young players but they must also be able to make the most of it,” Japhet Tanganga said in an interview as quoted by AS.
Tanganga said that he learned many positive lessons from Mourinho, who gave him the opportunity to continue to develop while undergoing training sessions and continue to provide him with information to increase his knowledge.
