Jean-Clair Todibo Heads to AC Milan
By db-admin
DBasia.news – AC Milan are still looking for new players after recruiting Zlatan Ibrahimovic from the Los Angeles Galaxy. The search was conducted in the transfer market this winter.
The Swedish striker is not the only one. According to news published by Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are also getting closer to completing the transfer of Barcelona defender from France, Jean-Clair Todibo.
Allegedly the agreement reached was in the loan scheme with a purchase option of 20 million euros. The only obstacle to the negotiations was that Milan objects if Barcelona puts a repurchase clause for the former Toulouse defender.
Barcelona still does not want to release Todibo completely, as he is still very young, 20 years of age, and promises bright future prospects. But they also realized they are unable to give out much time to play because of the presence of Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet, and Samuel Umtiti.
Milan needed extra power in the fragile back line and this can be seen when they were defeated 0-5 by Atalanta – one of Milan’s worst defeats. Alessio Romagnoli needed an ideal tandem at the heart of defense.
Negotiations are still ongoing between the two clubs as well as player representatives. Jean-Clair Todibo is expected to be a fragile solution behind Stefano Pioli’s team who have conceded 24 goals in 17 Serie A matches played by Milan.
Percentage of Jean-Clair Todibo heading AC Milan: 70%
Milan needs new ammunition at the back, Todibo needs hours of play, both of them need each other. Now the only problem is the decision of the two clubs to decide on an agreement regarding the transfer of players born in Cayenne, French Guiana, December 30, 1999.
