Jerome Boateng Supports Temporary Stop of All Competitions Related to Covid-19
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng feels happy because all German League matches have finally been postponed until early April. Boateng also praised the move.
“We all love football very much. But, in the end there will always be things more important than football, “Jerome Boateng wrote through his personal Twitter account.
“The decision to suspend the German League is correct and we are ready to do anything to minimize the spread of the virus. To all people, stay at home, and don’t forget to protect your security and health!” Boateng added.
Initially, the German League Agency (DFL) refused to postpone the competition. However, the DFL finally melted and decided to postpone the match until early April after coming under pressure from various parties.
One figure who gave criticism to the DFL is Bayern midfielder, Thiago Alcantara. Through his personal Twitter account, Thiago asked DFL to immediately postpone all German League matches.
The postponement of the Jemran League means that no competition in Europe will take place this weekend. Previously, the English League, the Dutch League, the French League, the Spanish League and the Italian League also decided to suspend competition due to the spread of the covid-19 virus.
Not only domestic competition, the European Football Association (UEFA) also decided to suspend intercontinental competition. On Friday (3/13), they announced to postpone all Champions League and Europa League matches next week.
