Jose Mourinho Assessed Tottenham Hotspur Won’t Be Spendful in the Transfer Market

By db-admin

DBasia.news – JTottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho admitted that his team will not be spendful in bringing in new players in the transfer market next season. He claimed The Lilywhites were not the same as other clubs that were already active in the hunt for players.

“You now have an example of clubs investing and making important moves in the market and we are still nine games away from the end of the season,” Mourinho said.

“We know that we will not be in the same group, in the same world, like clubs that completely do things differently from us.”

“But do I hope we do nothing and remain certain of the same squad we have at the moment? My answer is no,” he said as quoted by the BBC.

Chelsea made their first big transfer ahead of the upcoming season after reaching an agreement with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

British media said Chelsea sparked a release clause of 50 million euros to get the German national player.

The west London club in February completed an agreement to bring in the Moroccan Ajax Amsterdam winger Hakim Ziyech for 40 million euros and he will come this summer.

Manchester United in January poured 55 million euros on Sporting Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

However, Mourinho said Tottenham’s approach to buying players in the transfer window would be “perfectly balanced” as usual.

“I expect us to do important little things and if we do some important little things and we improve in the two, three positions we need to improve in the squad, I am fully open to that challenge.”

“I fully support the council, the owners,” he concluded.
