DBasia.news – The big match on 11th-week between Arsenal against Liverpool at Emirates Stadium ended draw 1-1 whereas the two goals in that match scored by James Milner and Alexander Lacazette.
The offensive performance from both teams was really intense. Both had the momentum from previous matches. Both Liverpool and Arsenal have the opportunity to score the goal.
Liverpool netted the ball to Bernd Leo by Sadio Mane. However, the goal was annulled by the referee due to hitting the crossbar and offside.
“I think it was a goal. Do I feel aggrieved? I don’t know. It is football. Actually, it was a brilliant attack. That is what you do on the training ground – you bring one player and you keep one player between the center-halves slightly offside and the other player takes the ball. It is a pity it didn’t count,” Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp complained, reported by Guardian.
Klopp is disappointed for the failure to defeat Unai Emery squad. Liverpool created 13 kicks and 4 met the target, meanwhile, Arsenal kicked 12 times and 4 met the target.
“We had the biggest chances in the game. We had empty goals and we didn’t use it. If you want to win at Arsenal, you should use these kinds of chances. I know they had chances as well but I think we had the bigger ones,” Klopp regrets.
Unai Emery
In contrary to Klopp, Emery is thankful for this draw result against one of six top Premier League teams. Moreover, this season Arsenal got two defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea in consecutive times.
“Out of this game and the ones against Manchester City and Chelsea at the start of the season, this performance was the more complete. We need this quality in every match. The result is a good result for how we did in 90 minutes when we were losing,” Emery added.
Both teams have four points difference in Premier League standing. Liverpool lead the standing with 27 points and Arsenal in the 5th rank with 23 points.
