DBasia.news – Liverpool still maintains an unbeaten run after beating Wolverhampton 2-1. But there was a worrying incident in the middle of the match that was the injury of Sadio Mane.
Visiting the Molineux Stadium on Friday (1/24/2020) early morning Western Indonesian Time, Mane played as a Liverpool starter. However, the Senegalese soccer star was only on the field for about 30 minutes.
In the 33rd minute, Mane was pulled out to be replaced by new signing Liverpool Takumi Minamino. After the match, Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp ensured that Mane suffered a hamstring injury.
Mane will undergo further tests to determine the level of injury. Klopp just hoped the injury wasn’t severe.
“Sadio, it’s a pity he has to get out,” Klopp told BBC Sport. “Hopefully it’s not too bad, only the muscles are interested, but we’ll see tomorrow.”
“He felt something in his hamstring. We don’t know yet. We have to wait,” he added during a press conference.
Mane’s injury is definitely detrimental to Liverpool. Mane has been involved in Liverpool’s most goals this season with 15 goals and 11 assists in 30 appearances in all competitions, followed by Mohamed Salah with 15 goals and eight assists.
