Jurgen Klopp Ensures that Adam Lallana would Leave Liverpool Next Season

DBasia.news – Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp insists that Adam Lallana will not strengthen the Reds next season. He considered the injury factor that is often experienced by the 32-year-old player to be a strong reason not to renew his contract.
Lallana, who has been struggling to recover from his injuries over the past two seasons, has not played since the competition resumed after the COVID-19 pandemic and Klopp said the 32-year-old player would not take the risk despite being fully fit.
Lallana has also been invited to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires on June 30.
“It’s clear that Adam will leave the club in the summer. He is there and is training 100 percent. But as long as we don’t need him he will only train,” Klopp told reporters.
“There has been a lot of discussion regarding players with the termination contract but for him it’s not even a discussion, obviously we will extend Adam’s contract and he wants to do that too.”
“We will not risk anything in the future. He is one of the most important players since I am here. So I only hope he is the best for the future, he has become a legend here so he can now become a legend elsewhere starting next season.”
Lallana, who joined from Southampton in 2014, has appeared in 15 league matches during the current season.
“He had an important match for us and what he did at the training ground was really extraordinary,” Klopp added.
“Young players when they talk about their most important things in the future, what happens in their first two years, they will mention Adam Lallana, 100 percent,” he concluded.
