Jurgen Klopp Hopes Liverpool Supporters to Stay at Home

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manager Juergen Klopp hopes Liverpool’s supporters to stay home and not come to the stadium when his squad play for the 2019-2020 Premiere League title.

Liverpool only need six points from their remaining nine matches to win the title and that can even be achieved faster by defeating Everton on Sunday (6/20), as long as Manchester City, who are second, lose to Arsenal on Wednesday.

The match will be played without spectators at the stadium and British Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston told Sky Sports that the government could review plans to hold several matches at a neutral venue if large crowds occur at the stadium.

“Football has returned. For several reasons it will be done differently, but you can still make it special,” Klopp said in a video on the Liverpool website.

He added that the players still get support even though the stands are empty and the conditions will be a boost for players to perform optimally to win the title.

“Our message: stay safe, support us from home,” concluded Klopp
