Jurgen Klopp Suggests Changes to the VAR Rules

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, proposed a change to the VAR rules. Klopp’s advice was conveyed at a meeting of Europe’s top coaches.

The annual event of Europe’s top coaches takes place in Nyon, Switzerland, on Monday (11/11) local time. Several agendas were discussed at the meeting.

One of the discussions is about the rules for using VAR. Several incidents related to this technology have occurred in recent matches.

The latest is when Liverpool and Manchester City face each other. The Citizens manager, Pep Guardiola, feels he should get two penalty prizes.

These conditions made Jurgen Klopp ask that the VAR rules be changed. The German manager’s suggestion was to reduce the problems caused by the technology.

“VAR can still be made even better. The technology cannot be 100 percent perfect, everyone agrees. However, there are still some things that have not been true,” said Jurgen Klopp.

“With VAR, it is clear that the matter of handball and offside has become more visible. UEFA has a good idea to communicate with referees. At the moment, there is still a possibility of mistakes.”

“However, VAR is still made by humans and nothing is perfect. Nobody is asking for perfection, we just want clarity,” he continued.

The meeting of Europe’s top coaches was attended by many names. These include Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola, and Unai Emery, Maurizio Sarri, and Erik ten Hag.
