Jurgen Klopp’s reason for Rejecting to coach the German National Team
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Didi Hamann believes manager Jurgen Klopp still has a ton of tasks that have not been completed at the club so he refused the offer to handle the German national team.
Hamann, the former Liverpool midfielder who recorded 59 caps for his country, considers that the interpreter of tactics will eventually penetrate the international stage.
However, at the age of 53, Hamann believes Klopp is currently focusing on building dynasties at Anfield after successfully bringing the Merseyside club back to dominating the English football scene.
“I think it’s fair to say that when the task of dealing with Germany is available, it will be Jurgen’s if he really wants it,” Hamann said.
“He will be a popular choice thanks to what he achieved at Borussia Dortmund and for what he did at Liverpool,” continued Hamann.
“Winning the Champions League and the Premier League respectively is a remarkable achievement that confirms him as one of the elite coaches,” he stated.
“But Jurgen is still quite young. I believe he is developing in his work with the players every day. You can say, he loves it,” he continued.
“I think he will be tempted by the chance to try out international football, but there are still a few more years,” he explained.
“Just being at the training ground every three months would be something really crazy for him,” he continued.
Hamann, who spent seven seasons at Anfield and helped the Reds win the 2005 edition of the Champions League, added: “It’s clear that Klopp feels at home in Liverpool. That’s really important to him.”
“He has strong ties with this club, fans and his own city,” added Hamann.
“What he has achieved so far has been extraordinary. But he will see that and believe that this has just begun. Jurgen has been remembered as one of Liverpool’s greatest managers,” he stated.
“But he can continue to create something comparable to figures like Shankly and Paisley,” concluded Hamann.
