Justin Kluivert Good Decision to Refuse Man United’s Offer
By news-admin
DBasia.news – AS Roma are starting the new project under the famous sporting director in Europe, Monchi. The long-term investment has been conducted to Patrik Schick, Cengiz Under, and Justin Kluivert predicted to be the next star.
Schick and Under have been playing in Roma since last season, while Kluivert just came this summer from Ajax Amsterdam with 17,25 million euro price tag. The 19-year-old wing striker attracted the attention from Europe clubs by his impressive performance with Ajax the last two seasons.
The son of Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert was also the target of Barcelona and Manchester United, but he chose Roma eventually. The father considered it as a good decision because the pressure in Roma isn’t as big as in United and Barcelona.
“I’m very satisfied with what he is doing. He doesn’t speak much, but he is someone who knows how to listen and is motivated, I would have liked to stay in Ajax for another year, but he chose for himself. I think Roma is a good solution,” Patrick Kluivert told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“A jump to the Premier League would have been difficult… I think United would have been too big a jump. Roma is an important club, but the pressures are lower. Roma must not win by force and it is a club that is used to good football. It is the ideal place for Justin right now. Then, who doesn’t dream of Barcelona? But Italian football is catching up and Justin can take advantage of it.”
Justin showed his talent during the Serie A debut against Torino last week. The cross passing from the player who was born in Amsterdam, May 5, 1999, created the decisive goal of Edin Dzeko and brought Roma won 1-0 against Torino.
