Juventus Completes Dejan Kulusevski’s Transfer, Milan Brings in Ibrahimovic
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Juventus and AC Milan had a head start in early January 2020 or the winter transfer window.
The Bianconeri completed the transfer of 19-year-old young midfielder, Dejan Kulusevski, from Atalanta for 35 plus a bonus of nine million euros on a five-year contract. Kulusevski did not immediately defend Juventus as he would continue his loan spell at Parma.
“Juventus and the player have signed a contract until June 30, 2024. At the same time, Juventus have reached an agreement with Parma for the loan period until June 30, 2020,” Juventus wrote in an official statement on their official website.
Kulusevski claimed not to think much when the offer came from Juventus, although he had been linked with Inter Milan and Manchester United.
“I am thrilled. 2020 could not have started better. This is an important day for me, my friends, my family, and for all who have worked with me,” Kulusevski said on JTV.
“Juventus are one of the biggest clubs in the world. When everyone started their football careers, they all wanted to play for Juve. When the chance to strengthen Juve appeared, I didn’t think twice,” he believes.
This season Kulusevski has scored four goals and provided seven assists in a total of 17 Serie A matches. An interesting note for a player who is not yet 20 years old, but has packed one caps with the Swedish national team.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Meanwhile in Milan, the Rossoneri repatriated their former striker in mid-2010-2012, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 38-year-old striker was recruited for free after his contract ended with LA (Los Angeles) Galaxy.
Ibra signed a contract until the end of the 2019-20 season and wore the jersey number 21. The former Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Manchester United striker stated his reason for wearing it.
“I showed the numbers available to my children and they liked 21, so I chose it,” Ibrahimovic said.
“I haven’t really changed since I was little. I still have the same hunger, determination, and confidence. Have I ever been scared? No.”
“My target is to help the club and the team to improve the situation. At the individual level to look as good as possible. Everyone is glad and I received many congratulatory messages. Now, my move has been official,” he explained.
Ibra’s experience is expected to help Stefano Pioli’s landing team improve their position in the Serie A standings, plus guide two young club strikers: Rafael Leao and Krzysztof Piatek.
