Juventus No Longer Leads the Serie A Standings after 560 Days
By db-admin
DBasia.news – The 2019-20 Serie A competition is predicted to run excitingly. Just now at the start of the season, Juventus must lose the top position from their rivals, Inter Milan.
The Bianconeri, after winning over Parma (1-0) and Napoli (4-3), failed to get a 100 percent record of victory at Artemio Franchi, Fiorentina headquarters, Saturday (9/14) PM. Juventus have now won seven points.
Meanwhile Inter Milan, who is coached by former Juventus coach, Antonio Conte, ensured perfection in the first three matches and won nine points from wins against Lecce (4-0), Cagliari (2-1) and Udinese (1-0).
As a result, Inter coup Juventus from the reins of the standings and two points adrift. According to Football-Italy, Juventus, for the first time after 560 days, did not become leaders of the Serie A standings after last being in the same position on March 3, 2018.
At that time Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli lost 2-4 to AS Roma, while Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus won a dramatic win over Lazio. Last season, Juventus did not release the top of the standings as they played consistently.
A goalless draw against Fiorentina, according to Sarri, occurred because his team was played in the afternoon of Italian time and the conditions has made it challenging for the players.
“We did not display the quality of play well, the situation was very complicated, because Fiorentina played well and we used all the changes as the players were having difficulties and we did not have new players to play,” Sarri told Sky Sport Italia.
“With all the variations, we performed well in the character side to achieve points. We too often lose control of the ball, which is a physical problem. Playing in the evening in Florence, the compilation is still difficult for summer today.”
Juventus, over the next week, will play Atletico Madrid (19/9) and Hellas Verona (9/21). While Inter against Slavia Prague (17/9) and Derby della Madoninna (Derby Milan) against AC Milan (22/9)
