Kai Havertz Targeted by Four Great European Teams
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Kai Havertz is often associated with some of the top clubs in Europe. Until now reportedly there are four big European teams who are after him.
Havertz became the motor of Bayer Leverkusen attack this season, could be an attacking midfielder and also a striker. He has played 38 times in all competitions with 15 goals and 8 assists.
Manchester United, Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester City are the teams that are reportedly interested in Havertz. German media said that around 75 million people were needed to support the 20-year-old player.
Recently, Chelsea entered as a competitor to the top clubs mentioned earlier. The Blues were reported by some British media to offer 70 million euros.
Havertz once made a grid related to the club he was eyeing in the future. This was revealed by Havertz in an interview with Marca in November 2019, which is targeting clubs that have the potential to be successful in Europe.
“The team is always the priority, success is collective. Then, (the trophy) individuals will come when you play well. I want to win the biggest trophy in my career: Champions League, World Cup or Euro. I don’t think too much about individual titles,” said Havertz.
Madrid might be one of the clubs outside Germany that Havertz wants to play in. Moreover, he idolized El Real coach, Zinedine Zidane, and Toni Kroos as Madrid midfielders.
“There are many players who inspired me, like Kaka, Zidane, and Ronaldinho. They have always been my idols. Among Spanish players, my favorite is Andres Iniesta. He is amazing with the ball. Unique. I like him the most,” Havertz revealed.
“Toni Kroos is a great player, I imitate him a lot. His journey is extraordinary. I really respect him. His passing ability and combination of games are at another level. In training (the German national team), every bait from him was perfect,” he continued.
“(Kroos conveyed to Havertz) that the weather in Madrid is always good.”
Havertz also did not rule out settling a career in Germany. Bayern Munich was touted as one of the favorite clubs to visit.
“Bayern is probably the biggest club in Germany and there are many very successful players at a young age who go there. Therefore, I am associated with Bayern, but we will see what happens. There are players who want to stay close to their families and some others said, ‘I want to live in another country.’ Something is clear: if you want to be a star in Germany, you can’t make mistakes with Bayern,” he emphasized.
