Kedah targets third place

By news-admin

DBasia.news – IPOH: Kedah set a new target for the League’s third position after realizing the opportunity to reach first place was buried after a 0-0 draw with Perak, in Ipoh, yesterday.

Lang Merah squad manager, Syed Khairol Anuar Syed Abidin admitted Kedah had to forget about his early dreams of failing to win the full points in Perak.

He said Kedah hoped to fulfill the wishes when serving the Perak State Development Corporation (PKNP) FC in their final match in Alor Setar.

“Insya Allah, we can get third place because we will be playing in our own land. Based on the performance tonight (yesterday) I believe Kedah can topple PKNP, “he said.

In the match yesterday, Kedah coach Nidzam Adzha Yusoff dropped some of the President’s Cup players following injuries of many of his main players.

“Despite the pressure of the hosts, Kedah managed to survive tactical discipline. In fact, several times that Lang Merah has managed to break the Perak fort is not just an extension.

“I am satisfied with the performance of the young players who have been relegated. They did not disappoint the team even though it was a big game like this, “he said.

Kedah is currently on fifth place with a 32-point league table and is expected to earn a full eye in the final action this weekend.
