Keisuke Honda’s Comment After Officially Coaching Cambodia

DBasia.news – Japanese top football player Keisuke Honda started his duty as the coach and manager of Cambodia national team. He led the training session of Kouprey Blue at National Olympic Stadium, Phnom Penh.

The meeting was conducted to discuss the preparation ahead of the match against Malaysia in the friendly match at National Olympic Stadium on September 10.

The former player of Nagoya Grampus, VVV-Venlo, CSKA Moscow, AC Milan, and Pachuca was involved in the dialogue with the coaching team before the player entered the pitch. He gathered the player in the midfield and explained some things before the observation.

“For the first day, I feel excited. I want to transmit my experience to Cambodia’s football,” Keisuke Honda said quoted by Sabay.

The former AC Milan player has started to work after the official announcement by Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) to be the coach and manager on August 12. He was plotted though still listed as part of Melbourne Victory Australia club.

Keisuke Honda replaced the Brasilian coach Leonardo Vitorino. His upcoming task is the 2018 AFF Cup. Angkor Warriors are listed in Group A with Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Laos.

“Certainly, this is just the beginning. We found many talented players here. I as the coach believe that we will make Cambodian people happy,” Keisuke Honda added.
