Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain’s Performance Does Not Satisfy Jurgen Klopp

DBasia.news –  Liverpool’s unbeaten record continued until the match against MK Dons in the League Cup.

Deciding to rotate and provide opportunities for young players and who more often occupy the bench, the Reds won easily with a score of 2-0 through goals scored by James Milner and Ki-Jana Hoever.

Quite a lot of interesting things happened during the match, including Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who returned to the starting XI after previously having to pull over because of a long injury.

Unfortunately, both did not appear in full 90 minutes, Chamberlain was replaced by Herbie Kane in the 82nd minute, while Keita was replaced by Pedro Chirivella in the 63rd minute. Seeing the performance displayed by his players, Klopp also considered if they still did not perform optimally after a long absence.

“We don’t have to say anything about Naby Keita’s performance. Yes, obviously at the moment he looks good, but he has to re-adapt to the position he occupies,” Klopp said as quoted by Mirror.

“The same thing applies to Oxlade-Chamberlain. That is what happens if a player is absent for a long time, but on the other hand, you can also see that he is an extraordinary player,” added the 52-year-old man.

Liverpool will try to keep their unbeaten record when they visit Bramall Lane, Sheffield United’s headquarters in the seventh week of the Premier League match, Saturday (9/28).
