Klopp Considers Tight Schedule as a crime

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Liverpool boss, Juergen Klopp, described the tight schedule of the Premier League as a “crime”. Some teams are forced to play two matches within 48 hours.

For example, Manchester City visited Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves on Friday (12/27) before hosting Sheffield on Sunday (12/29).

“This is not okay at all,” Klopp stated. “There is no reason why more teams don’t get more than 48 hours between Premier League matches.”

“There are no managers who have problems playing on Boxing Day, but playing on 26 and 28 is a crime. This year we played on 26 and 29 and this is like a vacation.”

Teams like Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton, Watford and Manchester United have all played twice in 48 hours this week.

“I understand everyone that says this should not happen. They are not complaining. They convey,” Klopp added.

“We can say what we want but no one listens to sports science and gives you nothing to deal with this.”

“The body needs a certain amount of time to do the best. But we completely ignore it.”
