DBasia.news – Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, was disappointed his team failed to beat West Bromwich Albion in the 2020-2021 Premier League continued match, at Anfield Stadium, Sunday (27/12). According to him, the Reds’ performance in the match was not good.

Liverpool played 1-1 against West Brom. Sadio Mane’s goal in the 12th minute was interrupted by Semi Ajayi’s action eight minutes before the end.

In fact, based on statistics, Liverpool really controlled the game. The Reds were only less sharp in finishing.

Liverpool released 17 opportunities throughout the match. In addition, Mohamed Salah and his friends also recorded ball possession of up to 79 percent.

These statistics are inversely proportional to those of the visitors. Playing on the brackets, West Brom has only five shots.

“This does feel like defeat. However, we have better points than before. So, everything will be fine,” said Klopp as reported by the BBC.

This season, Liverpool have failed to win six of 15 Premier League matches. This amount is as much as the results achieved last season.

“This is our fault. However, they deserved the points. In the first half, possession was like 90 percent to 10 percent.”

“It is a big challenge to stay on track and do it again. However, we should be,” said Klopp.

Liverpool are still at the top of the standings with 32 points from 15 matches. The result allowed Manchester United to cut the points in half if they could win in the 15th match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
