Dedik Setiawan

DBasia.news – One of the best moments in Dedik Setiawan’s life came at 87′ during the friendly match between Indonesia national team against Mauritius at Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Cikarang, Bekasi, Tuesday (11/9). A few seconds later, the Arema FC bomber contributed the only goal for Evan Dimas Darmono.

The Indonesia national team was lacking goal until 88′ before Dedik entered the pitch with red-white jersey. The 24-year-old player replaced Stefano Lilipaly.

The kick from Dedik resulted in a goal for the Indonesia national team. His kick was initially blocked by Mauritius goalkeeper. However, the ball slid and went to Evan’s leg. Easily, the Selangor FA midfielder scored the goal.

The praise was on Dedik after the match. Indonesia national team coach assistant, Kurniawan Dwi Yulainto mentioned the Malang striker as his final weapon to utilize the exhausted defense of Mauritius.

“At that time, we discussed it on the bench. At 70′ and above, the opponents were exhausted. We waited until the moment and entered Dedik. He played well,” Kurniawan said.

“At 70′, there should be a change. Dedik is a new player and very precious for his future career. So, this would be an amazing goal and experience for Dedik,” he added.

With Arema FC in Liga 1, Dedik scored 7 goals from 12 matches. He just left three goals from Samsul Arif (Barito Putera) and Stefano Lilipaly (Bali United) as the top scorer in domestic competition.
