By db-admin
DBasia.news – Kylian Mbappe is often referred to as a potential Ballon d’Or winner in the future. However, Mbappe claimed not to aim for the award.
Mbappe stole the spotlight since appearing impressive with AS Monaco in 2016/2017. Afterwards, the French striker continued to climb until finally recruited by Paris Saint-Germain.
Being a goal machine at a young age made Mbappe predicted as a star of the future. Not a few who predicted him as the winner of the Ballon d’Or in the future.
In 2017, Mbappe was ranked seventh on the Ballon d’Or list before climbing to fourth in 2018. While last year, Mbappe was in sixth position.
Mbappe did not set a target when to reach the Ballon d’Or. For the 21-year-old footballer, club and national team achievements are more important.
“It’s nice to be able to reach it, but it’s not something that makes me unable to sleep,” Mbappe told Mirror.
“I don’t think I should reach it next season or the next season, there is no time limit.”
“I always put PSG and the national team as a priority. Then, if personal appreciation is obtained from my performance, then that is a bonus,” he said.
