By db-admin
DBasia.news – Kylian Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is still a question mark. Until now there has been no sign of a contract extension for the player.
The latest news is that Mbappe’s time at PSG will end as the contract expires and it all depends on Barcelona. Spanish media Marca reports that Mbappe could refuse Paris Saint-Germain’s new contract offer if the French giants are knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona.
The 21-year-old’s contract will expire in June 2022. Currently, a number of clubs are trying to sign him, including Real Madrid and Liverpool.
PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi had said he was very confident about reaching a long-term contract agreement with Mbappe.
However, another Spanish media, AS, Mbappe can reportedly decide not to continue his service at PSG if they are eliminated by Barca in the last 16 of the Champions League. Real Madrid are reportedly in the forefront of signing Mbappe.
The former Monaco youngster has scored 102 goals and recorded 59 assists in 139 appearances for PSG in all competitions.
PSG will meet Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League which will be held in February and March 2021.
