Kylian Mbappe Shares Top Score Title with Wissam Ben Yedder
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Kylian Mbappe was named the top scorer in the Ligue 1 competition 2019-2020 after the highest French caste competition was terminated prematurely. The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker successfully defended his title last season.
Ligue 1 is considered complete when it has only undergone 28 matches. It was not separated from the issuance of permission from the French government to continue the competition after being suspended since last March.
PSG who was leading the standings was finally crowned the champion. Mbappe who was leading the top scoring list finally received the same treatment.
Mbappe is not alone at the top of the Ligue 1 top scorer list this season. His collection of 18 goals is exactly the same as that of AS Monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder.
But the Ligue 1 operator finally chose Mbappe as a person who deserves this title. The reason is because Ben Yedder’s three goals were created from the penalty spot while all Mbappe’s goals came from open play.
In the ratio of goals, Mbappe is also very worthy of winning this title. He made 18 goals in just 20 matches while Ben Yedder needed 25 matches to do the same.
This is Mbappe’s second Ligue 1 top scoring title in succession. Last season he also won it after scoring 33 goals.
Mbappe’s goal collection has indeed declined this season. Besides being prematurely stopped from the competition, the 21-year-old player also missed several games because of injury.
This top scoring title will certainly make Mbappe prices increasingly soar. Now just waiting for how strong the financial strength of Real Madrid or other interested clubs to meet the demand for PSG.
