Laurent Koscielny’s Happiness After Arsenal 2-0 Victory Against Chelsea

DBasia.news – Arsenal defeated Chelsea in the London Derby of Premier League match. The defender and captain of Arsenal, Laurent Koscielny, thinks the victory is really important for his team.

Now, The Gunners are three points behind Chelsea in the fourth place of the table. It makes them more confident about the top-four chance.

“Today we needed to win. We made a mistake last week [at West Ham] so today’s game was a six-pointer. If we lose we will be nine points (off Chelsea) and if we win the gap will be just three points,” Koscielny said cited by BBC, Sunday (20/1).

Besides that, Koscielny also praised the fighting spirit of Arsenal squad throughout the match against Chelsea. Apparently, playing against the team as big as Chelsea is far from easy. Every player must play and focus. If they fail to do that, Arsenal could lose the point.

“We’re still in the race for the top four. I think the commitment today was amazing from all the boys. We showed on the pitch which way we want to go together. It’s good to play like this because in football it’s not easy to win,” the French player concluded.
