Leaving Liverpool, Xherdan Shaqiri Was Rated Will be Targetted by Many Clubs

DBasia.news – Agent of Xherdan Shaqiri, Erdhin Shaqiri said he was sure that his brother and client would be crowded with offers from many clubs after leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
Of the 29 matches Liverpool has played in the English Premier League this season, Shaqiri has only appeared in six matches. In fact, overall, the Swiss attacking midfielder only appeared in 10 matches and only scored one goal in all competitions this season.
Of the 10 matches, Shaqiri only appeared once in 90 minutes of the match, the rest former Inter Milan attacking midfielder sod as a substitute. In total, Shaqiri only grazed for 256 minutes.
Since appearing as a substitute in the match against Tottenham Hotspur, last January, Shaqiri was never even seen again in the Reds squad. The low level of fitness affected by injuries that often recur makes the 28-year-old attacking midfielder was unable to make the maximum contribution for the Reds this season.
As a result, with these conditions, Shaqiri’s progress at Liverpool was judged to be over soon. The former Stoke City midfielder is expected to be released by Liverpool in the player transfer market next summer.
“I think there will be many offers for Xherdan in the summer. In January there was concrete interest from two or three clubs. They might come again,” Erdin told KTV.
“Xherdan’s situation at Liverpool is not easy because of a number of minor injuries that lasted longer than we thought. Jurgen Klopp was talking to him about more match practice. We have to wait and see.”
“I think Xherdan deserves more. He was unlucky with his injury, but every time he could play again, he did his job and changed the game,” concluded Erdin.
