DBasia.news –  Leicester City defender Maguire’s transfer saga was very much discussed in the transfer market this summer and was linked to Manchester United. The Red Devils are even ready to make it the world’s most expensive defender.

However, until now, there has been no meaningful development from the player’s transfer, even all processes can be considered stagnant. This is indicated by comments from Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers. The Scottish man himself insisted that the Foxes camp did not have the urgency to sell Maguire.

“It is not my authority to discuss this (related to Maguire’s move), but I make sure I remain relaxed. At present, the club does not need to sell anyone, we also have no desire to do so,” Rodgers said.

“As for Harry (Maguire), he is training very hard for the new season. Indeed, there is a lot of speculation from the media, but I am grateful he is very focused on his duties as a player,” concluded the former Liverpool manager.

Maguire is not the only option for Manchester United in the summer of 2019. Besides himself, there is the name of Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld. However, to bring him, the care team of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must compete with the Serie A giants AS Roma.
