Lewandowski prefers to be coached by Jurgen Klopp than Pep Guardiola

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Robert Lewandowski has played under Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola. The Polish striker had no trouble choosing the best of the two figures.

Klopp and Guardiola are two tacticians with different philosophies of play. Both are involved in healthy competition that has existed since 2013 in the Bundesliga.

The competition in Germany lasted for only two seasons from 2013 to 2015. Guardiola emerged victorious as he was able to dominate the Bundesliga with Munich.

Lewandowski also filled Klopp and Guardiola’s rivalry in Germany. He had become the spearhead of Dortmund’s mainstay before crossing to Munich.

Judging from the number of trophies, Lewandowski was more successful when he played under Guardiola than Klopp. But that did not make him favor for the Spanish manager more.

“I think Jurgen Klopp (is my favorite) and after that Pep Guardiola. 100 per cent,” Lewandowski told ESPN.

“You can see that he (Klopp) is like a father and also a coach. He can tell you everything.”

Lewandowski’s answer was not surprising. Klopp is known to have a special relationship with the players he trained.

On the other hand, Guardiola’s reputation as a tactically wealthy coach cannot be doubted. But he is not good at building good relationships with his players.

The competition between the two managers now continues in the Premier League. Guardiola handled Manchester City while Klopp was with Liverpool.

On British soil, the competition between the two is more balanced. Klopp seemed to be a balanced opponent for Guardiola after Jose Mourinho’s ability began to decline.
