DBasia.news – Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi regrets Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to choose to leave Real Madrid. According to Messi, the existence of his rivals has made their competition in El Clasico and LaLiga matches even more interesting.
Ronaldo, 34, left El Real in 2018 with a tag of more than 100 million euros to Juventus. CR7 ended his dedication with Madrid which he has strengthened for nine years. He left as a legend wallowing trophy and success there.
Messi, a player who has always been a rival for Ronaldo, especially in achieving Ballon d’Or, missed his pressence in LaLiga. La Pulga expressed his hope that Ronaldo can stay at Real Madrid.
“I want him (Ronaldo) to continue (playing) with Real Madrid,” Messi said, as reported by Goal.
Nevertheless according to Messi, Real Madrid will continue to grow even without Ronaldo as they have a tradition of recruiting top European players.
“Real Madrid will continue to challenge as they have very good players. They have a lot of players that allow them to fight for every title and they have a lot of history,” added Messi.
Both Messi and Ronaldo have both scored goals and dominated many individual awards over the past decade. Both have also performed well during that period.
