Liverpool Failed to Win, This Is Jurgen Klopp’s Comment

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was unhappy to see Fulham’s opener on Sunday, saying it should not be legitimate.

The Reds were forced to fight back from behind to grab a 1-1 draw against the London side threatened with relegation from the Premier League.

Bobby Decordova-Reid put Fulham ahead in the 25th minute, before Mohamed Salah scored a 79th-minute equalizer from the spot to secure the points for the reigning champions.

It was thought that Sala was fouled prior to the Decordova-Reid goal scoring process, but Klopp was initially reluctant to discuss the moment.

“What do you think? May I ask your opinion?” the German tactician asked reporters who raised questions about the goal.

When the journalist replied that referee Lee Mason could have judged it invalid, Klopp responded: “Neither of our opinions is 0.0% relevant, because we cannot change the decision.”

“It was clearly a foul, nothing else. It wasn’t a yellow card or a red card, but the player who passes the ball gets the advantage, gets the ball by pushing Mo. If he doesn’t push, then Mo will get the ball.”

“It’s not about how hard the foul is, it’s about gain. [Pushing with] two hands. Lee Mason, VAR, what do they say, casual contact?”

“I’m not sure what Lee Mason is thinking at home, but it’s not normal contact in football. It’s enough contact for an advantage, so it’s a foul. But we can’t change it, and I’m talking about that because you ask.”

The draw made Liverpool miss the chance to beat Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the standings, after Jose Mourinho’s men were also held 1-1 by Crystal Palace.
